Judge Bulldogs are ROCKIN’ IT!

Uncategorized

The Judge Bulldogs are ROCKIN’ Region 10!  Woo Hoo!  Region play officially began last week and we beat Uintah 41-21.  GO BULLDOGS!  We are now 5-1!  What a change from last year.  Last year we won only 2 games all year.  It was a disappointing year all the way around for the football team.  This year they players and coaches have really stepped it up.  They boys are playing "as a team" which is so important!  This week we take on Union @ Union.  Should be a great game!  The JV team plays at home this week…. FINALLY!  We have been on the road the last 3 weeks.  It will be nice to be on our own home field this week. GO BULLDOGS!

Autumn in Utah

Yesterday Carl, Madi and I drove up through Parley’s Canyon and through Heber City on our way to T’s football game in Vernal.  The MOUNTAINS WERE GORGEOUS!  I can’t believe how quickly the leaves seem to have changed.  It was truly beautiful.

FAVORITE FALL THINGS

  • Football games
  • Warm but crisp fall days

I know there are many more, but I am brain dead this Friday afternoon.  Tonight we are off to the varsity football game.  JUDGE BULLDOGS vs. UINTAH UTES.  GO BULLDOGS!  Tomorrow I’ve got an appointment for a much needed "Cut & Highlight".  I can’t wait.  We also have softball practice and soccer games for Madi.  Not much else planned, except maybe some scrapping?  I hope!  Have a wonderful fall weekend everyone!

Drama, Drama, Drama!

Uncategorized

Phew!  I am so glad that Homecoming and all the drama surrounding it is over!  First off, the Bulldogs beat Ogden 47-9!  It was a great game and tons of fun.  Tyson played well and even go in on some offense plays in the 4th quarter.  He had two good runs, earning a 1st down even.  Halftime brought a “streaker”, which was hilarious.  Except for the fact that it was a friend of Tyson’s and his parents were mortified.  His Mom is the principal of the grade/middle school that the boys attended and Madi is still attending.  I think his Mom was embarrassed beyond belief.

Saturday brought the Homecoming Dance and drama of course.  Most of the girls were getting ready at the same house, so all of the boys were meeting there to pick up their dates.  Tyson (with his date) was the first boy to arrive.  The girls immediately made Sydney feel very comfortable and took time to include her.  As the boys began to arrive, the moms began assembling everyone for group pictures.  There were 11 couples in all.  Just as we were getting ready to get everyone off to dinner, I notice that the ex-girlfriend (AND HER PARENTS) are walking down the sidewalk to join the group.  What is up with that?  11 couples and one stag girl?  I just shook my head and pulled Tyson aside to make sure he knew to keep away from her and to especially make sure that Sydney was not uncomfortable.  Tyson had a great time with Sydney , but would have made different plans had he known the ex was going to show up. The ex cried in the limo when a slow song came on, and cried at the dance as well as at the after party.  What do I do about this?  Any ideas?  I’m at my wits end!  Ugh!

In more exciting sports news….. Madi’s softball team won their first 14u Tournament over the weekend (they are only 12)!  Yea Sting!  Madi was the winning pitcher in the Championship game and did so well!  Go Madi!

Happy Friday!

Uncategorized

Today is the start of a crazy, busy weekend!  Tonight is the big HOMECOMING GAME!  GO BULLDOGS! The JV team won last night 56-7.  Tyson scored 3 TD’s and had a great defensive game.  Hopefully, tonight will be another great game and if we get a good lead, Tyson could get some playing time other than special teams.  The big dance is tomorow night and Tyson is very excited about it.  I’m sure they will have a great time!  *Of course, keeping away from the ex-girlfriend will be key!

Madi has a softball tournament that begins tonight (of course) and runs through tomorrow night.  They are expected to do well, so it should be fun.  GO STING!

I wanted to share a link with the 3 of you that read my blog. ÜÜ  I stumbled across this blog while reading another scrapper’s blog.  And now it is one I MUST read every day.  I don’t know what it is about this gal, but she "speaks" to me.  No matter what kind of day I am having, it automatically becomes better after I read her blog.  She writes with such enthusiasm.  I don’t know what it is.  But I love it.  So, if you have a minute, check her out and let me know what you think.  Also, if you are a scrapper/stamper she has some amazing products out there!  ENJOY!

Homecoming Part #3????

Uncategorized

Well, homecoming date #2 said no.  So sad.  And she didn’t really give a specific reason.  She isn’t friends with the ex-girlfriend so it isn’t that.  She and Tyson are great friends and get along well, so it’s not that.  Odd.  Anyway.  Tyson was fine with it.  He ended up asking a girl (Sydney) that he has been friends with for a few years, but has had a crush on for years.  She goes to another high school, and knows a few of the people in Tyson’s group, so that is good.  He is actually very excited (and nervous!!) to be going with her.  Unfortunately, the ex-girlfriend has a few friends that are going in Tyson’s group and she wants to go along with them in the limo and to dinner.  She does not have a date and is going stag.  Tyson put his foot down and said he would find another group if she goes in the limo with them.  She will make his night (and his date’s night) miserable.  Ugh.  The drama of high school.  And the drama of girls.  Being a parent is so hard.  I keep asking my mom why didn’t she warn me it was going to be so hard?  The decisions that we have to make.  Will we scar them for life?  Are we doing the right thing?  Are we raising them right?  Will they grow up to be independent, strong, loving and caring?  Oi vey!  It’ll drive me crazy if I think about it too much! Ü

I thought I would post this cutest picture I found a few weeks ago.  It is Tyson and a few of his friends from his Catholic Youth League Allstar Team.  They are about 10 or 11, I think.  Too cute!  Tyson is #33.  Love it.  I used a digital frame from a kit that I purchased from HERE.  Have a great day everyone!

Scrappin’

Uncategorized

I’ve been doin’ it! And it feels good!  CKU-A renewed my desire to scrapbook.  I had kind of been in a rut, scrapping only for others.  A birthday card, an invitation, a layout hear and there.  But nothing for me and my family.  I would have great intentions of scrapping at night when I got home from work, but I just wouldn’t do it.  And I don’t really know why.  Those creative juices just weren’t flowin’! CKU-A changed that!  So, I have been trying to scrap a little bit each and every day.  Even if it is only 15-30 minutes.  I have been working on completing Tyson’s freshman year (tons of sports photos) since his sophomore year has already begun and I have at least 8 rolls of film already!  I’ve been using the Scrapworks album/system so it is really easy to get a page done fairly quickly.  Have you seen these papers?  OMG!  They are awesome!  The colors are so bright.  I am lovin’ these right now.

Anyway, Scrappin’ is good.  Makes me happy.  Makes me calm.  Relaxes me.  Cheers me up.  All around GOOD!
