WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! The Judge Memorial Bulldogs defeated Tooele on Saturday night for the 3A STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP! What an exciting game! We had such a fun time "tailgating" before the game and being part of such A HUGE GAME! The stands were full of fans, and the student section, led by the 6th man club, was full as well! I am SOOOO EXCITED for the players, students, and coaches! GO BULLDOGS!
So, I have decided to participate in Rhonna’s 21 Day Art Journal Challenge! It is a challenge to conquer or create a habit. Apparently, it takes 21 days to make or break a habit, hence the 21 day Art Journal Challenge. I’m using a small 7 gypsies album, along with some Li’l Davis stickers, Foofala Papers and some other fun things. I chose 2 habits…. One to break, and one to make. My habit to BREAK is my LATE NIGHTS! I need to get more sleep! I have the hardest time getting up in the morning! My habit to MAKE is to CREATE EVERYDAY! I have been in a scrapping rut lately and need to get my MOJO flowing. Hopefully, this will be the way. Excuse the horrible photos! I don’t know what is up with my digi camera. YUCK! I’m still missing one quote for day #1, but I’ll add that later tonight.
In other news…. THE BULLDOGS are Rockin’ it in the 3A State Tournament! They beat Logan in double overtime yesterday to move on to the Semi’s. Tonight we play Pine View! If we win, we advance to the Championship Game tomorrow! Woo Hoo! GO BULLDOGS!!!! Happy Friday! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
GO BULLDOGS! With a record of 20-1, we are expected to win the 3A State Championship. HOWEVER, you just never know! We play Delta tomorrow at 7:00 pm @ home! If we win that, we move to the quarterfinals at the Dee Events Center in Ogden. If all goes well, the JUDGE MEMORIAL BULLDOGS will be claiming their State Championship trophy next Saturday night! Although, Tyson’s season on the sophomore and JV teams came to and end last Friday night, with wins agains rival Park City…. we are thrilled and excited for our varsity team. GO BULLDOGS! A few photos below, of Tyson at the Park City games last Friday night. Congrats on a GREAT season Tyson! We are very proud of you and look forward to watching you play on the varsity team next year!
The Science Fair. Why, oh why, is this a requirement EVERY SINGLE YEAR from 3rd grade through 8th at Madison’s school? I don’t like science. Madi doesn’t like science. I dread it every year. Madi dreads it every year. BUT, every year we ‘git ‘er done’. UGH! Of course there are tears shed (by both of us!), and late nights, but when it is done, I guess we feel relief that "YES! We did it"! One more year down and only one more to go! Here is Madi’s science fair project:
It was actually a pretty cool experiment (Thanks Carl!)….. When you add a pack of Mentos to a 2 Liter of Coke….. It explodes 8 feet in the air! Cool beans!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY everyone! I am here…. just busy, dealing with the curves life likes to throw at us every once in a while! Ü I hope you all have a wonderful day! A special HAPPY VALENTINES DAY wish to MY FAVORITE VALENTINES~ Carl, Tyson & Madison! I love you!
I am so OVER winter! Bring on spring! PLEASE! I seriously have a case of spring fever. At Bonco last week, the hostess gave everyone this cute vase with 3 tulips in it, and it is sitting on my kitchen counter reminding me of SPRING! We are supposed to be in the high 40’s to low 50’s today…. nice and sunny! I want me some warm weather!
I took this photo last night….. the sunset over North Salt Lake….. Love the colors!
Happy Thursday everyone! Tomorrow is FRIDAY! WOO HOO!
Isn’t she CUTE! I know she is just about to kill me for posting this picture! She HATES, and I mean HATES having her picture taken! BUT, I think she is BEAUTIFUL and I LOVE HER!
OF TAG! Ü I was tagged by Christina (Hi!) so here goes……
1. First time you got kissed: It was the summer before 7th grade, and Jim Delis was the boy! It was everything a first kiss should be (at that age anyway!)
2. First time you drove a car: 15 – in driver’s ed! I was too chicken to even try and drive before then!
3. First time you scrapbooked: Sometime in Junior High, I think. I was always into some type of scrapbook. Of course the first time I scrapbooked the "safe" way, was in 1996, I think. My friend Arri (Hi Arri!) had a CM party and I was instantly hooked!
4. First time you went on a date: Hmmmm, I’m not really sure! I was either 15 or 16, and it obviously wasn’t too exciting! Ü
5. First time you fell in love: I was probably 19 or 20…… and it was Carl!
6. First time you cooked for someone: I’m sure I cooked for my family while I was growing up (I remember cinnamon bisquits), but really cooked for someone was for Carl when we were dating. I’m not a very good cook!
7. First time you got on a plane: I think I was 15 and I flew to Seattle to visit my friend Joni Jetton that had moved away. Oh, wait…. I think I flew in one of those tiny planes when I was younger. My uncle was a pilot, I think?
8.First time you shaved your legs: I was probably about 10 or 11. I was a competetive gymnast, so having shaved legs was pretty important to me.
9. First time you put on make up: I was probably around 11 or 12. I remember one of the coolest gifts I ever got for Christmas was a box full of all the make up essentials (eyelash curler, brow brush, etc.) from my mom! I think I was 12 when I got that!
10. First time you moved out of your home: Well there was that 3-month stint when I was 21 and I moved out with Kristyn (Hi Kristyn) and Nicole! That didn’t last long!
Hello! Sorry for the lack of updates the last few (many) days! Life was crazy last week as I was trying to get work under control, etc. so that I could take last Friday off for basketball games (Congrats Tyson for being high scorer in the Sophomore game with 17 points!), and then leave for Vegas on Saturday morning for Nic’s wedding! And let me tell you… the wedding (renewal of vows) was awesome! Nic and her hubby Paul are from New Zealand and were traveling to Vegas for CHA, and decided to renew their wedding vows for their 10 year wedding anniversary! I was thrilled that I was able to make it! Nic and I met online about 5(??) years ago on an scrapbook message board. She has made it to the USA a few times, but I was never able to hook up with her. Anyway, they renewed their vows at The Gradeland Chapel and Elvis (I swear he was the origial guy!) officiated! It was great!
I got to spend time with some other favorite people: Linda, Karyn, Shanna and Baybuny! Lots of good tiimes!
On a sad note…. I was very bummed that I couldn’t stay for CHA! I got to sneak into the show last night as everyone was still setting up and I saw some AWESOME things! The Heidi Swapp booth looked amazing! As did the Memories, and Chatterbox booths and SO MANY OTHERS! Lots of neat and exciting things coming out!
I hope everyone has an awesome day! Here are some quick photos from the weekend! ENJOY!
