So…..it's been way over a year, since I have posted on this ole blog 'o mine. Craziness. Where has the time gone? I think it's time to get back at it! Don't you? Oh hell, who am I kidding? There isn't anyone out there anymore!
I'm making a goal to post EVERYDAY until the beginning of 2011! It's a plan. It's a goal. It's gonna happen! I promise! Even if I am the only one out there reading! And since I love photos with posts…..here are my babies…whom aren't babies anymore at all. This was taken yesterday, at the airport. Dropping Tyson off to go back to Redlands. After a fabulous visit with us for Thanksgiving. Love these two. More that I can even describe.
What a joy this little dog has been in our lives! When we got her 1 year ago, we vowed to make her a part of our life, and take her as many places as we could. We had Cheyenne for 14 years, and we loved her so much, but we never introduced her to other dogs or many people, other than family. We feel she suffered for it. She was super protective of us, and didn't really interact well with other dogs or people. We started taking Chloe to Madi's volleyball and softball games right off the bat. We even took Chloe to Las Vegas and St. George for softball tournaments, and down to California to see Tyson play football. As a result, she is so used the travel and hectic pace of our lives, she doens't even bat an eye being at the ballpark all day. She loves to play with other dogs and loves little kids. She has been so much fun! Love her!
Seriously, 7 months? Since I last updated my blog? Hmmmm……that can't be good!
And seriously, where do I even begin trying to catch up? And is anyone still out there listening? Or reading? I guess I'll soon find out! 🙂
Life has been good. The spring was busy, busy, busy with softball and taking a trip down to Redlands to see Tyson play Easter weekend. This summer has been busy with more softball, Tyson being home, baseball, and weddings. Good times. Good times.
Have a fabulous weekend (our last one this summer having Tyson home), and I'll get back to my regularly scheduled posting….which really wasn't so regular!
of my Beautiful sister-in-law, Anne. Ten years ago today, she passed away from a tragic shooting…..leaving behind a loving family, many, many friends and her husband (my brother) and 6 month old daughter. We will never forget you Anne! Always in our memory, and always in our heart!
Last weekend was the JMCHS Winter Formal @ the 23rd Floor in the Wells Fargo Center, in downtown Salt Lake City. The planning for this dance began in early December with Madi and her friends deciding on which boys to ask, since this was a girl’s choice dance, who would be in their group, where to eat and what to wear! It is so much more exhausting and time consuming with a girl! Haha! Madi asked a boy that I *think* she has had her eye on for sometime….Kelton. Her friend asked a boy named Stevie. This is how they asked them to the dance:
They were called down to the Dean’s office (Kelton is the son of a former Dean of the school – and I heard he was visibly worried he was in big trouble!) where they were give this sign, and told to search the school for their date. Madi and her friend Melissa were wearing shirt’s the color of their boy’s name on the sign (did that make sense?). It was kind of cute. Anyway, the dance was last weekend, and ever since Madi asked Kelton, they had been planning and coordinating their outfits around Kelton’s pair of PURPLE NIKES!! Haha! Soooo funny! Madi was all set to wear PURPLE NIKES with her dress! I finally got her to wear heels at least when she picked up Kelton and had pictures taken with their group at her friend Caitlin’s house. She obliged! But the minute the photos were done and the limo was there to pick up the group, the heels came off and the PURPLE NIKES went on. I was actually surprised at how cute they actually looked with the dress!
With the heels…..and then with the PURPLE NIKES. They look pretty cute, huh?
The Girls!
Cute Couple!
Madi had a GREAT time at the dance! I’m soooo glad! I can’t wait to see the actual pictures they took at the dance. Their “pose” was all about the shoes!
On January 2, the UTAH UTES met the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2009 BCS Allstate Sugar Bowl and the UTES were VICTORIOUS! We met up with the Hanings, Ringheimers and Huffs for good food, good fun, good friends and GOOD FOOTBALL! What an awesome game! And for the UTES to roll over the Crimson Tide, was even better! The UTES were the only team in the nation to finish the season 13-0! They have the longest win streak in the nation, and the longest bowl game win streak in the nation….which only get them the #2 ranking in the nation…things that make you go HMMMMMM!!! Hahaha! GO UTES!
Nineteen years ago today, you entered this world and changed us forever! You approach life with such a mixture of wonder and intensity which is an absolute joy to watch and be a part of! Your thirst for knowledge amazes us all, and the young man you are becoming is something we are all proud of! We wish you the happiest of birthdays Tyson, and much love and success in the New Year! We love you so very much!
Just a few photos of Tyson over the past 12 months:
I have a cute photo to share! This was taken in November – proof that some fun was had! This is Madi and Chloe with my niece Erin. I don’t think I have mentioned this on here, but Madi got a new ‘do’ last month….she went much darker with her hair color, and has some really pretty streaks of red throughout, which you can’t really see in the photo. You can’t really even see the new hair color, but you get the idea! Have a great day! I’ll be back later with my December 3rd entry in my December Daily Album 2008.
