CINNAMON ROLL PANCAKES
www.RecipeGirl.com

PANCAKES:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 Tablespoon canola oil
1 large egg, lightly beaten

CINNAMON FILLING:
1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon

CREAM CHEESE GLAZE:
4 Tablespoons butter
2 ounces cream cheese
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Prepare pancake batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk in milk, oil and egg, just until batter is moistened (a few small lumps are fine).

2. In a medium bowl, mix butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Scoop the filling into a small zip baggie and set aside.

3. In a medium, microwave-safe bowl- heat butter and cream cheese until melted. Whisk together until smooth; whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

4. Heat large skillet over medium-heat. Spray with nonstick spray. Scoop about 3/4 cup batter onto the skillet. Snip the corner of your baggie of filling and squeeze a spiral of the filling onto the top of the pancake. When bubbles begin to appear on the surface, flip carefully with a thin spatula, and cook until browned on the underside, 1 to 2 minutes more. Transfer to a baking sheet or platter and keep in a warm oven until ready to serve.

5. When ready to serve, spoon warmed glaze onto the top of each pancake.

Yield: 4 cinnamon roll pancakes

Where I spend my week days……

Me

A glimpse into the place I spend my week days…….my day job.

I work for a court reporting firm, where I handle all of the billing and invoicing of transcripts.

We recently moved into an old historic mansion, which is pretty darn cool!

A view into my world:

Drinks
To the left of my computer monitor.  The essentials!  A Diet Coke, cup of coffee (with cute coffee cozie!) and carmex!  I never leave home without my carmex!  And my colorful highlighters.  I have a "thing" for colorful markers

Rubber bands
To the right of my monitor.  Elastics.  Three different sizes and I used them all day long!  The most used items on my desk for sure.  And my pail of colorful markers.  The colors make me happy!

As
I collect the letter A (for ali, duh!) and this is a small collection on my window sill.  Funny story – there is an apartment building directly to the side of our "mansion".  The second story window of the building looked directly down into my office.  Before I had blinds, everyday at about 2:30 the apartment dwellers were at the window doing their dishes.  We could look right at each other.  I always felt weird with someone staring down at my back and computer screen!

Awkward!

Red chari
Love this big red leather chain the corner of my office.  I inherited it by default, as it didn't fit in any of the other offices.  Fine by me!  I LOVE it!

Shipping
Fed Ex is my friend.  As is, UPS and the USPS. I send out transcripts all day long via these three, as well as a local courier!  I go through load of shipping supplies each day.

Not much else exciting to say.  It's sometimes fun to see where other spend their days! Thanks for taking a peek into my day!

Enjoy your Monday!

Back soon with some spring inspired crafts!

Fabulous Friday Finds!

Crafts / Fabulous Friday Finds

Happy Friday!

What a long week this has been!  For me anyway!

To start the weekend right, I have some eye candy for you on this most fabulous Friday!

First off, check out this pantry!  Would you die for this?

Mandi @ Tidbits from the Tremaynes just won Crafting with the Stars with this pantry makeover!  Seriously, love the detail!  Go HERE for the details on how she made this.

And what about this:

Another Mandi, this one from Vintage Revivals made this faux rhino, similar to the one found at Anthropologie…..but I like Mandi's better!  Check out her tutorial HERE, and notice her faux fireplace too!  She won Crafting with the Stars (Season 1), with that as her final project.  Love it!

I'm loving this fabulous dining room art as well!

This is from The Mallardville Manor.  What a great idea!  IKEA frames and wall decals from Target!  Easy and very economical!

And finally….this is my secret dream.  Well, it's not really a secret.  I've told everybody I've ever known that can build things, that I WANT MY OWN CRAFT ROOM!  Well, this would be my DREAM COME TRUE!

I know, right?  Pure heaven!!!  I want it, I need it!  Isn't she lovely!

And the kicker?!?!?!?

Sandra @ Sawdust and Paper Scraps built it HERSELF!

Yes, you heard that right. SHE built it HERSELF!

Go HERE for the details!

I hope you all have a most FABULOUS weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

It's a 3 day weekend for me, and I couldn't be HAPPIER!

I'm noticing that my camera lens is pretty dirty!  Excuse the spots!  Yikes!

I'd love to hear what you think!  I have some curtains to hang, but I am still a bit undecided on them.  The paint color is Sherwin Williams Sea Salt.  I'm in love!

My original inspiration for the makeover came from Kate @ Centsational Girl!  Thanks so much Kate for the inspiration.  I even got into a mini argument with the gal at the Lowes paint counter.  She told me I didn't need tinted primer for the vanity.  I told her that ""Kate @ Centsational Girl used tinted primer and I'm following her instructions EXACTLY!"

We also used the board and batten tutorial I found HERE at Beneath My Heart ~ Thanks Traci!

So happy to have this mini remodel mostly done!  Thanks for humoring me along the way!

If you are new to my blog, I would love for you to "follow me"  :)  Thanks so much!

Master Bath Sneak Peek #3 (or is it #4?)

Decorating / Our House

So…here we go again.  Another master bath sneak peek. I know, I know….you are wondering when (if?) we are going to finish the master bath.  I  mean this was just a mini-remodel, right?  Well progress has been made, slowly but surely!  Don't believe me?  Let's refresh your memory, shall we?  Here is the BEFORE

IMGP8807

Purdy, isn't she?  😉

You can see our updated vanity and mirror here our new tile here and our new faucet here…all that leads me to this:

IMGP8954
We installed board and batten last weekend and got the tile grouted!

Can I get a Woot Woot?

What is the plan for this weekend, you ask?  Okay, I know you didn't ask, but humor me, mkay!

Picnick
Not too bad!  Should be able to get that done this weekend, right?  Maybe? 🙂

Then I get to hang curtains and decorate!

Oh, and move the toilet out of the bathtub (what, you don't have a toilet in your bathtub?)

Whatevs.

And one more thing…..guess what?  It is FRIDAY!  Finally!

Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

Thanks for visiting!

Custom Dish Towels

Sewing

Towels2

I had a text message from a friend LATE Sunday night asking if I could put together some (6!!!)  spring-like dish towels for her….and the kicker….she needed them by

WEDNESDAY MORNING!!!!

Really?  So I panicked!  And my sewing machine panicked with me!  Decided it wasn't really in to getting them done by Wednesday morning!  It started throwing fits, which in turn made me throw fits!  Does this happen to anyone else?  Have a project deadline and the sewing machine goes on the fritz?  Or the glue gun?  Or the mitre saw?

Oh well.

After some (many!) tears, I finally finished them late last night and dropped them off this morning.  Excuse the not so great photo!  It was taken on my phone, before running out the door!

Thanks again for visiting my blog!  And for becoming a "follower"!  I really appreciate you!
