It was a fabulous mail day yesterday!  I got my Pottery Barn catalog, Pottery Barn Kids catalog, and Crate & Barrel catalog!!   Love!  Love!  Love!  So many fabulous ideas!

I was at the Dollar Store on Saturday, and happened to pick up some random bird figurines, with the thought of painting them white.  BUT, after seeing these in the PB Kids catalog:

I thought….hmmm……let's give them a little coat of silver!  Yes?  I thought so too!

So they went from this:

Light Scoop!

LIGHT SCOOP……do you have one yet?

http://www.lightscoop.com

Guess what?  I do!  Just opened her up tonight!

IMGP9111

I can't wait to play with it and figure it out!  For those of you who don't know what it is….it is a a device that attaches to your camera's external flash, and bounces the light/flash elsewhere when you take a photo.  Sometimes it can be hard taking photos inside with low light, and using a flash.  This gives you the light of the flash – but not directly on the item you are photographing.  Clear as mud right? HA!

GO HERE to read more about it!

A few photos BEFORE I opened up my super cool Light Scoop:

Pillows, pillows and more pillows!  Waiting for the SPRING pillow covers I have been sewing!

IMGP9114
Piles of fabric!  Next to my sewing machine!  Colors that make me happy!

And just because….my cutie-patooties!  Cuddling in front of the fire!  PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one with a dog and cat that like to cuddle!

Road Trippin’

Uncategorized

High School softball season has begun in our neck of the woods!  We will be taking a little road trip this weekend for Madi's final high school trip to St. George and warm softball weather.  The weather is so iffy here this time of year, a tournament is always scheduled in the warmth and sunshine of Southern Utah.  Although, this weekend isn't supposed to be so warm and sunshiny!  Go figure! 🙂

In anticipation of taking my new laptop down with me, I sewed up a little laptop cover last night….only to find out it was a little snug for my 17" laptop. Ooops!  You know what they say…

MEASURE ONCE, CUT TWICE

Apparently, I didn't heed that advice.  Live and learn, right?  No worries, Madi's laptop is the new recipient of the laptop cover!  :)  No pics though.  Hmmm.  What was I thinking?

Enjoy your Friday and weekend!  Hope it's great!

I will be watching a lot of this:

If spicy  isn't your cup of tea, how about something sweet? Maybe a nice warm Beignet?

How good does that look?  Photo credit and recipe found HERE

Or will you be spending tonight on Bourbon Street, in New Orleans….wearing a mask & riding on a float?

While I would love to experience Mardi Gras some day in New Orleans, the Moll Family will be hanging out at home.   Possibly celebrating Fat Tuesday with some fast food!  Since we are giving up fast food for Lent!  Last day for 40 days to partake…..what to do, what to do!

ENJOY!

Taking Time for ME!

Me

Thanks to Crystal Light for sponsoring this post. To learn more about how Crystal Light can flavor your day with 30 refreshing flavors, visit http://www.facebook.com/crystallight.

We’ve all heard the saying “If Momma’s not happy, nobody’s happy”, right?

Well, we kind of live by that at our house!  I fully believe that I need to take some time for myself every day (even if it’s just 10 minutes), so that I can really be there for my family, and their needs!

Makes sense, right?

Here are some of the things I do, to TAKE TIME FOR ME!  Some are more time intensive than, others.  It really just depends on the day, and what is going on at the time.

1.  Take a BATH

I’m a bath girl.  I LOVE to take baths.  Sometimes it’s a quick 15 minute soak.  I lock the door, light a candle and breath.  Other times, it’s a 2 hour bath with a book.  Once again, it depends on the day.  Whether it’s a quick bath in the middle of the day, or a long bath at the end of the day, I ALWAYS feel relaxed after!

2.  EXERCISE

Right now, I am really into ZUMBA classes.  It’s a blend of latin/hip hop and I can run to a quick ZUMBA class and lose myself for 45-60 minutes!  I love it!  There is something about exercising (running, aerobics, weights) that gives you such a feeling of accomplishment!  I feel like I can tackle anything (laundry? cleaning? cooking?) after a little exercise!

3.  READ

I’m an avid reader.  Always have been,  It is something I can do anywhere (in the bath, in car line, at the dentist office, at softball practice, ANYWHERE), and I do it often.  Sometimes it’s a page here and there, a chapter every few days, and sometimes, it’s just a skim through a magazine or catalog.  Whatever it is, I try and enjoy whatever time I can find.

There are so many other ways to TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF!  I would love to hear what you do, to take time to relax, even for just 5 minutes a day!

You know what they say:

If Momma’s not happy, nobody’s happy!
