Lot's of different milestones for my baby girl, Madison.
She is a senior and will be graduating from high school at the end of the month.
While I am sooo happy for her and excited for her future, I am still sad that it is the end of an era. She has attended a fabulous Catholic High School (as did Tyson), and it's sad to see our time at the high school end.
The first milestone she (we!) celebrated this past weekend, was her last Prom!
We used my brother's backyard to host a group of Madi's friends/dates and their parents for pictures. It was a lot of FUN!
It was so fun to see the kids and how excited they all were….and yet a touch sad as it was their last prom.
Next milestone? The last softball game of Madi's career. Should happen today, weather permitting. This girl has played baseball/softball since she was 5, and this could be the very last game ever for her. She has elected not to play this summer at all. Carl and I won't know what to do with ourselves!
Thanks for letting me take a break from craftiness, to record some personal stuff, here on the old blog!
It seems that a little thing called LIFE has gotten in the way of this ol' blog of mine!
I've got a jillion post ideas knocking around in my head, but just haven't had the time to make any of them happen.
Some things keeping my busy right now:
My father-in-law passed away last week
We took a camping trip over Easter…and we are "city folk" who don't camp, so it was a bit of an undertaking to get ready for it!
Madi is trying to finish her senior (and last) season of softball, but all the rain and snow delays, have put game on top of game, on top of game! It's crazy!
Madison is also graduation from high school next month (what? really?), so we are dealing with all things related to that! Not to mention her last prom!
My day job seems to be much busier than normal too!
I just can't seem to get my act together right now! Do you ever feel like that? Like life is just too frenzied sometimes? I'm hoping to get some posts together this weekend! I've got lots of stuff to share…just no time! Please be patient! Things should be back to normal soon!
fans at our house! We try and make it to as many games as we can, and we always tailgate before the game! We have a FABULOUS tailgate group! Sooo much fun!
Anyway, as some of you also may know…I love to get my craft on! Hence, the name of my blog! 🙂
Soon after I got my Silhouette , I whipped up these glasses for tailgating
Red glasses from the dollar store and red and black vinyl!
This sweet girl will be graduating from high school next month. It seems like only yesterday that I was dropping her off at preschool for her first day. My how time flies! We've had so many years of homework, field trips, science fairs (my nemesis), parent teacher conferences, report cards, school plays, etc.
I can't believe it's almost over!
Her senior year of high school has been one of the best years so far! We've watched our little girl grow into and amazing young woman, with so much confidence, and such a good heart. We've watched her cheerlead this year at football and basketball games, and watched her pitch for the varsity softball team. We've watched her attend her last homecoming dance and will watch her go off to her final prom next month. It is all so bittersweet! As I ran something to school for her a few weeks ago, I admit I got a bit teary-eyed! We've been a part of the high school community for the last 7 years (while our son was there too), and I just can't imagine not driving up the hill anymore.
But, all good things must come to an end. When one door closes, another one opens. Madison has a bright future ahead of her with so many opportunities, experiences and adventures to be lived! I am so excited for her and for what her future holds.

I picked these up for my son Tyson, who is away at college in California. BOTH of my kids LOVE Peeps! They like to put them in the freezer before eating them. Ewwwww.
My opinion of peeps….can't stand 'em. But both my kids love them. What is up with that?
I never bought Peeps for their Easter basket's when they were little, because of my aversion to them. But, somewhere along the way…they found out about them.
And it was love at first sight.
I don't get it.
The texture is weird.
They are kind of crunchy (stale?) on the outside…but soft on the inside.
I will be celebrating my oldests graduation from 8th grade, my younger daughter's 1st communion & my mom's 60th b-day! So I will def. be pretty busy!
