Wishing for Spring…….

Uncategorized

I am so OVER winter!  Bring on spring!  PLEASE!  I seriously have a case of spring fever.  At Bonco last week, the hostess gave everyone this cute vase with 3 tulips in it, and it is sitting on my kitchen counter reminding me of SPRING!  We are supposed to be in the high 40’s to low 50’s today…. nice and sunny!  I want me some warm weather!

OF TAG! Ü  I was tagged by Christina (Hi!) so here goes……

1. First time you got kissed: It was the summer before 7th grade, and Jim Delis was the boy! It was everything a first kiss should be (at that age anyway!)

2. First time you drove a car: 15 – in driver’s ed!  I was too chicken to even try and drive before then!

3. First time you scrapbooked: Sometime in Junior High, I think. I was always into some type of scrapbook.  Of course the first time I scrapbooked the "safe" way, was in 1996, I think.  My friend Arri (Hi Arri!) had a CM party and I was instantly hooked!

4. First time you went on a date: Hmmmm, I’m not really sure!  I was either 15 or 16, and it obviously wasn’t too exciting! Ü

5. First time you fell in love: I was probably 19 or 20…… and it was Carl!

6. First time you cooked for someone: I’m sure I cooked for my family while I was growing up (I remember cinnamon bisquits), but really cooked for someone was for Carl when we were dating.  I’m not a very good cook!

7. First time you got on a plane: I think I was 15 and I flew to Seattle to visit my friend Joni Jetton that had moved away.  Oh, wait…. I think I flew in one of those tiny planes when I was younger.  My uncle was a pilot, I think?

8.First time you shaved your legs: I was probably about 10 or 11.  I was a competetive gymnast, so having shaved legs was pretty important to me.

9. First time you put on make up: I was probably around 11 or 12.  I remember one of the coolest gifts I ever got for Christmas was a box full of all the make up essentials (eyelash curler, brow brush, etc.) from my mom!  I think I was 12 when I got that!

10. First time you moved out of your home: Well there was that 3-month stint when I was 21 and I moved out with Kristyn (Hi Kristyn) and Nicole!  That didn’t last long!

Now…. who to TAG?  How about:  Nic, Christina Carbone, & Sue

Back from Vegas!

Uncategorized

Hello!  Sorry for the lack of updates the last few (many) days!  Life was crazy last week as I was trying to get work under control, etc. so that I could take last Friday off for basketball games (Congrats Tyson for being high scorer in the Sophomore game with 17 points!), and then leave for Vegas on Saturday morning for Nic’s wedding!  And let me tell you… the wedding (renewal of vows) was awesome!  Nic and her hubby Paul are from New Zealand and were traveling to Vegas for CHA, and decided to renew their wedding vows for their 10 year wedding anniversary!  I was thrilled that I was able to make it!  Nic and I met online about 5(??) years ago on an scrapbook message board.  She has made it to the USA a few times, but I was never able to hook up with her.  Anyway, they renewed their vows at The Gradeland Chapel and Elvis (I swear he was the origial guy!) officiated!  It was great!

I got to spend time with some other favorite people:  Linda, Karyn, Shanna and Baybuny!  Lots of good tiimes!

On a sad note…. I was very bummed that I couldn’t stay for CHA!  I got to sneak into the show last night as everyone was still setting up and I saw some AWESOME things!  The Heidi Swapp booth looked amazing!  As did the Memories,  and Chatterbox booths and SO MANY OTHERS!  Lots of neat and exciting things coming out!

I hope everyone has an awesome day!  Here are some quick photos from the weekend! ENJOY!

What happens after Carl leaves for work at 4:40 am….

Madi (and her comforter & pillow) end up in my bed, along with the dog AND the cat!  Ü  Actually, the cat often sleeps at the top of either my pillow or Carl’s, but the dog isn’t allowed on the bed (at least when Carl’s home!)……

I have been a bad blogger this past week!  Here is an update about what has gone on in the Moll house….

  • Carl left last Sunday for Chicago for work.  He was gone until Friday, so he missed most of the excitment of the week!
  • Tyson (and his friend Lewis) were in a car accident (in Carl’s car) last Monday.  Everyone (except the cars) are fine (thank heavens), but we are still waiting to hear back from our insurance adjuster regarding the status of Carl’s car.  It looked pretty bad.
  • It was Finals week for Tyson, which meant 1/2 days of school, but intense testing.  Looks like he came out fine, acing most of his finals! (Phew)
  • Since Carl was out of town, Madi got to visit with her friend Jessica (Hi Jessica!) after school Tues – Thurs, which she loved!  It worked out great, since I don’t get off work until 5:30
  • The kids were out of school on Friday, so they were home when Carl returned from Chicago.  He wasn’t too pleased not to have a car, but we have rental car coverage, so he was able to pick up a nice car to drive until his is fixed.
  • Basketball games on Friday.  Sophomore, JV & Varisty all won!  YEA BULLDOGS!  Tyson played great, and was the leading scorer in the Soph. game.
  • Saturday brought softball practice for Madi and a suprise birthday party for one of Tyson’s friends.
  • Sunday Carl worked, Tyson had baseball and basketball practice, and Madi and I just relaxed!

I hope you all had a great weekend!
