National Honor Society

Tyson Moll.

My son.

One of ONLY 7 sophomore students at Judge Memorial Catholic High School inducted into the National Honor Society last night!  I’m so proud!  He has worked so hard this year (and last) to keep his GPA above 3.5 while playing sports year round, and trying to have a social life! Ü  A ceremony was held last night at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Salt Lake City, Utah.  It was cool!  When I was in high school, if you had a GPA above 3.5, you were automatically in the NHS.  At Judge Memorial, you must complete a lengthly application (which includes academic, service, leadership & character information), and then you are reviewed by the faculty, who make the final decision.  Pretty sweet!  Here is a photo of Tyson and his friend Kelli (who was also inducted into the NHS), last night.  (Excuse his hair!  He had just come from baseball practice and had been wearing a hat for 3 hours, and didn’t think to bring a comb or hair gel!! Ü)

I’m back….

Uncategorized

I guess, I’m back.  I am still not caught up on sleep and all the craziness of Las Vegas and then rushing right back to the Catholic Women’s Conference.  Ü

Vegas was a blast!  The team did great, taking 3rd place at the tournament!  The weather was FABULOUS!  Warm (HOT!) and breezy!  I loved every minute of it!  Spending time watching baseball games, drinking a Pina Colada by the pool, sleeping in one day, hanging out with fun friends!  Just an awesome time!  And the boys LOVED the pillowcases!  Except it seems that several of the boys (mine included) swapped their old pillows for the nice hotel pillows (just switched the cases).  Nice, huh?

The Catholic Women’s Conference was also great!  I was tired, tired, tired though, but I had a very nice time!

This week is full of more baseball and softball games.  Lots of make up games due to bad weather, and then Madi and I are heading to St. George for a softball tournament.  More sunshine!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Pillowcases, Baseball, Posters & SNOW!

Uncategorized

UGH!  Snow again!  On April 17th and 18th!  What is up with that?  It snowed ALL DAY yesterday and I woke up to more snow AGAIN this morning!  I am so tired of it.  More baseball rain (snow) outs again yesterday and today.  The REALLY GOOD NEWS:  We are leaving for Las Vegas tonight!  Woo Hoo!  And the temp in Vegas tomorrow?  A whopping 87 degrees!  Bring on the sunburn baby!  It is all I can do to get through the rest of the day today….knowing that I will be watching baseball games in the WARM SUNSHINE for the rest of the week! Ü

I was up until 3:00 am last night (this morning) finishing the pillowcases for the team.  Here they are: (excuse the shadow of me taking the photo!)

I did 21 of these bad boys!  Hopefully, the boys will like them!  I also started (almost finished) a poster for the Catholic Womens Convention this weekend.  We will return from Vegas sometime after midnight on Friday night, and then I need to be in Ogden by 6:30 am on Saturday.  Good times, huh?  So, I’m not getting much scrapping done, but I used bits and pieces from the Jenni Bowlin February, March and April kits on my poster! I guess my scrap supplies are getting some use!

I still need to spruce up the title, but that will have to wait until sometime in the wee hrs. of Saturday morning.

What else?  Not much, I guess.  We are all packed (finger crossed), and ready to go.  Tyson has a team dinner @ 5:00pm before the team departs @ 6:00pm.  I’ll be at the team dinner passing out the pillowcases and treat bags with my good friend Juanita, Carl will drop the dog off at my parents, and I’ll pick up Carl and Madi there…. then it is off to Vegas.  I CANNOT WAIT!  Happy Tuesday!  Oh, I almost forgot, GO BULLDOGS!

HAPPY EASTER from OUR family to YOURS!

100_1002 100_1010

It’s been a very busy few weeks at work and getting things ready for the school auction, Catholic Women’s Convention, and the baseball team’s trip to Las Vegas this coming week!  I’m going to put it into high gear tonight and tomorrow night and then we head off for 3-4 days in Vegas!  Woo Hoo!  We have to come home late Friday night so I can make it back for the Catholic Women’s Convention, but Tyson and the rest of the team will stay through Sunday.

We have made pillowcases for each of the boys on the team (since they will most likely be bringing their pillows with them for the 6 hour road trip to Vegas), and are filling them will all sorts of fun things like Gatorade, water, sunflower seeds, Big Leaque Bubble gum, Power Bars, candy bars, etc.  They turned out awesome!  I was the one in charge of actually making the pillowcases.  I’ll post a picture later!

So have a HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!  I’ll post more later!  Thanks for being patient with my lack of blogging lately! Ü

A while since I posted!  WOW! Where has the time gone?  Thanks to those that emailed me wondering when I was going to blog again! I appreciated YOUR appreciation of my blog! Ü

We got in 2 baseball games last week!  Woo Hoo!  2 of the 4 that were scheduled.  We beat our rival Juan Diego, but lost to Grantsville. (after being up 9-0)  What is up with that?  And this picture here:

That is Tyson!  He is sliding into 2nd base, and was called OUT…..of course Tyson is positive he was SAFE!  Anyway, this picture appeard in the Deseret News on Friday morning along with this story.  Pretty darn cool!  Of course, I’m just a proud Mom! Ü  It was so unexpected to open the paper and see Tyson’s picture!  Love it!

Madi was supposed to have her first regular spring league softball team tonight.  Due to rain this morning, it was cancelled!  What a bummer!  I am soooo ready for spring!  We have softball and baseball games to play!  UGH!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

ERIN

Uncategorized

Erin is my niece.  I love her like my own.  She is cute.  VERY CUTE!  And she looks like her Mom.  Well, she looks like her Dad too (her Dad is my brother, and it’s not like I can say he’s cute! Ü) Kidding.  Anyway, I thought I might actually use my Jenni Bowlin Februay kit…

Since March is almost over.

And my March kit hasn’t been used yet.

And I’ll receive my April kit soon.

So, I present to you…. ERIN!  Isn’t she CUTE?

Erin

I think she is a cutie patootie!  And let me tell you…. her personality…. is just as cute!  I LOVE YOU ERIN!

Hey, Laura (baybuny)…. does this count for your challenge?  I know it’s not the March kit, but I just couldn’t use the March kit, with the February kit still staring me down! Ü

I’m done! Phew! I finally finished my Art Journal tonight!  And guess what….Rhonna is getting ready to start another one!  And I’m just finishing this one! Ü

But.

DUDE.

I.

Finished.

I was trying to be Kelli Crowe with my single word per line posting.  Doesn’t really work when I do it!  Here ya go!  My last three days:

100_0895_2 100_0896_2 100_0898 100_0899 100_0900 100_0901 100_0902

I totally ran out of steam at the end.  I think it was a mistake to go with the same color scheme and group of papers through out the whole journal.  I was getting pretty tired of it by the end! Ü

Do ya wanna see the aftermath of creating?  Pretty skeeeeeery:

G’night!  Tomorrow is Friday! WOO HOO!  We may even get a FULL baseball game in!  We are supposed to have BEA-U-TIFUL weather tomorrow!

Sande Krieger made my DAY!

Uncategorized

Or quite possibly my year!  Seriously!  I check her blog often (okay, A LOT), I think she is an amazing talent!  She was a CK Hall Of Fame winner last year, and she is just amazing!  So, today when I checked her blog and noticed her list of predictions….I thought COOL….I’ll check see who she has predicted (since the HOF 2006 winners were posted today)….and I’m reading, and scanning, and I see the name Allison Moll.  I keep reading, and scanning….WAIT?  Did that say Allison Moll?  Check back.  Yep.  It said Allison Moll.  Like as in MEAli Moll?  WOW!  How cool is that?  Sadly, I didn’t enter HOF this year.  I just didn’t have it in me.  No scrappin’ MOJO!  BUT, I seriously (yes, I am a dork) feel like I won…. just cause Sande predicted I would!  I’m flattered.  Truly.  I’m HAPPY!  My day has been made!  Thank you Sande!  UNLESS, there is another Allison Moll (that scrapbooks) out there…. is there?  If so, come out, come out wherever you are!

And, so you believe me…. here is a link to her blog:  Sande Krieger  You have to scroll down to the post titled "Hanging with the Girls"…BUT, there I am, ALI MOLL, #4.  WOO HOO!  Also, check out her post above that one…her son Ski, won a full ride scholorship to the U of U!  COOL!!!!
