Happy Friday, friends! I can't believe how fast the summer is flying by!
Oh well, at least it's the weekend, right?!
Today, I wanted to share with you a few things I am lovin' this summer! They are mostly new to me finds that I think are pretty fabulous!
1. Frozen Grapes: I had never tried to freeze grapes before this summer (what?), and I cannot get enough of them! I especially love red grapes frozen! I eat them every morning when I get to work!
2. Skinny Pop Popcorn: Have you tried this stuff? Only 39 calories per cup! It's the perfect snack in the afternoons, when my work day is dragging. A friend of mine gave me a bag after my surgery, and I was hooked immediately. I find mine at Costco. Try it!
3. Nuun: I am a recent convert to Nuun! We have a water challenge at work, and I have a hard time drinking just plain water. I like Crystal Light and Propel drops, but they almost taste too sweet for me. I discovered Nuun this summer, and have been enjoying the Nuun All Day Hydration at work, and the Nuun Active Hydration during my Zumba classes and other workouts. Loving it! A nice light taste that isn't overpowering at all! And, it's full of vitamins!
4. Lululemon Headbands: Lovin' these headbands by Lululemon. They don't slip off my head or give me a headache when I wear them – either while working out, or just hanging out. I prefer the medium width or skinny width best. Works perfectly to keep my bangs off my face, and the sweat out of my eyes!
5. doTERRA Lip Balm: If you know me at all, you know I am a Carmex junkie! It's ridiculous. I don't leave home or go anywhere without my Carmex. I have recently discoverd doTERRA Lip Balm, and I love it. I am trying to wean myself of the Carmex, and I think it's working. The doTERRA Lip Balm has an awesome flavor, and it really seems to moisturize my lips, rather then dry them out.
Have you tried it?
So, there you have it! 5 things I am lovin' this summer! And now some questions for you:
What are you lovin' this summer?
Are you addicted to anything weird, like Carmex? Please tell me, I'm not the only one!
Have a great Friday y'all! And a FABULOUS weekend! Make it a great one!
A few weeks ago, Detour Protein Bars sent me some of their new Lower Sugar Neopolitan Protein Bars to try out. I am super picky about the protein bars that I eat, I like them to have great flavor (not too bland and blah), but not too many calories and sugar either. These really fit the bill!
This yummy bar is made with a rich milk chocolate layer sandwiched between creamy vanilla and sweet strawberry nougat. The 40 gram size has 15 grams of high quality whey protein, 170 calories and just three grams of sugar. AND they are delicious! Love them!
Here is the nutritional information on the bars:
And a little information about Detour:
The bar was really filling, and the perfect snack after a workout, or in the afternoon at work to get me through the rest of the day! I love that I don't have to worry about eating something so full of sugar, that I will get a sugar high, and then crash a short while later!
I was given a box of Detour’s lower sugar protein bars free of charge but the thoughts and opinions are all my own.
Have you ever tried Detour Protein Bars?
If so, have you tried their new Lower Sugar Protein Bars? I'd love to hear what you think!
A few weeks ago (in May actually) I had the opportunity to attend the Blend Retreat and it was sooooo much fun! I think I mentioned that at the closing raffle, I had won the entire Smooth Sensations Cream Cheese Spread line from The Laughing Cow :
I'm not gonna I was pretty stoked! Within days, this arrived at my house:
FABULOUS, right?
All the flavors are great, but so far my faves are the Garden Vegetable and the Cinnamon Cream! Sooo good! Love them on toast! But, there are so many other ways you can use them! Here are some links to some great recipes, using The Laughing Cow products:
Have you heard of Rugs Direct? If not, you need to check out their site! They have a FABULOUS selection of rugs at great prices! Rugs Direct, has generously offered to send me a rug to review, and I couldn't be more excited! I have been looking for a rug for our dining nook, and found just the perfect one, on the Rugs Direct site:
What do you think? It's a light silver/gray color. I think it will go great with the changes we are planning in our kitchen this summer!
Rugs Direct is having a "Proud to be an American Sweepstakes" right now, and will be giving away a rug valued at $300! You can enter the sweepstakes by clicking on the Raffle Copter link below!
Now, go do it! You won't regret it! Who doesn't want a new rug!
Okay, I’m going to try this post again! Hopefully, I won’t lose it again right as I try to post it!
I was able to cross the first item off my 2012 Summer Bucket List by going to the Farmers Market. I went to with two friends on the morning of the opening weekend. It was so crowded! But we had a ball! The first item on the agenda (at least for me!) was an iced coffee!
I had picked up my Bountiful Basket earlier that morning, so I knew I wasn’t really in need of much in the way of fruits and veggies. It was probably a good thing, since the market was so packed we could barely maneuver through all the fruits and veggie booths! It was crazy!
One of the first stops we made was at Happy Monkey Hummus. I love hummus and they had so many fabulously different flavors to try, like Margarita and Suesabi. My favorite was a Pesto Hummus. Delicious! I picked up a tub, and it was eaten in two days! So good!
Right across from the Happy Monkey Hummus booth, was the fabulous craftsman. He was so busy with customers though, that he hadn’t had a chance to put out any business cards or info about his jewelry. So many beautiful pieces!
I hope to get back again soon, and find out if he has a website, etc. The prices on these pendants was great! Only $15!
Next stop was Gaia's Garden. Oh my! Gorgeous potted flowers!
The next items that caught my eye, was all of this gorgeous pottery!
I especially loved this large platter/bowl
Clark Marshall is the artist, and you can find his shop HERE
I’ve seen these next items all over pinterest (beer bottles), but I haven’t seen wine bottles or liquor bottles before. They were so cool!
Mrs. Meyer's ……. have you heard about these products? Or tried them? OMG. Pure awesomness! I've seen the products countless times at the grocery store, even stopped, opened the lid and smelled them…but I never bought them. Why not? I have no idea, really. But, after swinging by the Nester's blog , and reading about how she LOVES (and even looks forward to) cleaning, I decided to give the products a whirl. Well, let me tell you……they are eveything people say about them, and MORE. I tried the dishwashing liquid, counter spray and cleanser. They are FAB! Smell sooooooo good, and clean amazing. I even had the laundry detergent in my shopping cart, but I just wasn't sure if I was ready to go "all in" yet. Now, I'm regretting it! MUST GO BACK TO THE STORE TOMORROW! Have any of you (all 2 blog readers) ever tried these products? If so, what did you think? Let me know! And if you haven't tried them, PLEASE DO! And let me know what you think! 🙂
