PB Knock Off Book Ends

Crafts Decorating

It was a fabulous mail day yesterday!  I got my Pottery Barn catalog, Pottery Barn Kids catalog, and Crate & Barrel catalog!!   Love!  Love!  Love!  So many fabulous ideas!

I was at the Dollar Store on Saturday, and happened to pick up some random bird figurines, with the thought of painting them white.  BUT, after seeing these in the PB Kids catalog:

Img53m

I thought….hmmm……let's give them a little coat of silver!  Yes?  I thought so too!

So they went from this:

WP_000312

to this:

WP_000314

to this:

IMGP9155

What do you think?  Me likey!

PB cost:  $29 for two

My cost:  $2 for two!

I already had the spray paint!  Just paid a buck each for the birds!

Once again….easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Your birdies are so cute! I am so in love with that blue pitcher, though — where did you find it, if I might ask?

I totally LOVE these! Great job! I cannot wait to make some of my own. (kind of have a bird decor thing going on. 4 bird pics currently in my house.) This might just finish it off!

Other inventions – the vacuum tube to amplify sound, and coaxial cables to link long distances on land and under the seas — greatly expanded phone service. Transistors replaced the old vacuum tubes, and by the 1960s communications satellites eliminated the necessity of landlines. Today, bundles of glass fibers carry calls on laser beams of light.

The flower show is, indeed, one of the largest “signature” events that Philadelphia hosts each and every year. During the show, I find great inspiration for new ideas, tactics and execution methods for events and campaigns. The creativity of some of the booths always inspires me to think out of the box and push boundaries. Outside of the professional implications, I am a food lover who has always been drawn to the tasty samples — never leaving without my fill of vinegars, oils, dips, spreads, cheeses and other tasty treats!

And the way out is pure acceptance. When you become totally okay with NOT knowing.

The belief that you don’t know how and should know how to get something or how to make something happen inhibits.
