What a difference a day makes!  The left is a photo of the view from my desk yesterday, and the right is a photo of the same view today.

Weather
Yesterday was a cold, dreary and rainy day.  All day.  Blech.

Today it’s absolutely beautiful outside!  A typical fall day, here in Utah!

Yesterday, I was grumpy and down all day.  Today I am happy, upbeat and smilng!

What a difference a day makes…..oh, and the weather!  🙂

I hope you are enjoying your Friday, and I hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!

Anything fun planned?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Shitty-party

Happy Friday!  I am so glad that Friday is finally here.  What a long week!

So this month is my 8th Anniversary.  Anniversary of what, you might ask?  Well, this little blog of mine turned 8 years old just about a week ago.  Crazy!

Eight years ago, I didn’t know anything about blogging (I still don’t), but I decided to start documenting what was going on in my life.  I was an avid scrapbooker at the time, and my son was getting ready to start high school.  I felt like I wanted another way to document everything.  My very first post can be found HERE.  Totally cracks me up!  My blog has taken many twists and turns over the years, focusing mostly on scrapbooking and my kids, moving to crafting a bit, taking an almost two year break (very sporadic posts), and ending up back to where it is now.  Pretty much where it began.  Just me and my thoughts and my life.  Still documenting things, both big and small, exciting (to me) and non-eventful (to you), happy and sad.

It’s been fun to look back on some of the posts and remember a specific time in my life.  I’m so glad I decided to start a blog 8 years ago.  Even if I am the only one still reading it!

Some favorite posts:

Pretty crazy to go back and look at some of the posts!  So much has happened in the last 8 years!  So much that I didn’t even blog about!

All in all, I’m really glad I started this blog!  It’s nice to be able to look back on the years! And it is always nice to connect with others via the internet!  Thanks for coming along on this ride with me!

HAPPY FRIDAY! And now, I have a couple of questions for you:

Do you blog?  If so, for how long?

Do you like reading blogs?  What are some of your favorites?

Thanks for stopping by!  I’d love to hear from you!  Leave me a comment!

Let the games begin!

I love the Olympics!  Everything about them!  You will find me on my couch tonight, glued to the Opening Ceremonies, most likely with Cafe Rio and a nice glass of Chardonnay!

The events I'm most excited to watch are:

  • Gymnastics
  • Swimming
  • Cycling & BMX (Go Arielle Martin - local girl!)
  • Women's Soccer
  • Track & Field

Who am I kidding?  I'm excited to watch every event

Question for you:  Do you watch the Olympics?  What is your favorite event to watch?

{Bountiful Baskets}

Have you heard of Bountiful Baskets?

I know a lot of places they are called CSA baskets, or Co-op Baskets.

Whatever the name, they are fabulous!

We order our basket every Monday, and then pick it up on Saturday mornings.

For the low cost of $16.50, we received the following:

It's different every week, but so far I have NOT been disappointed!

I've been roasting vegetables frequently and eating them for dinner, and then packing them for lunch the next day.

I love having fresh fruit and veggies on hand!

I can't wait to see what tomorrow's basket brings!

Do you participate in your local community's CSA/Co-op Basket?

Have any good recipes?

Would love to have them!

I will be away from the blog and life for a few days.

I’ll be in Duluth, Georgia.

Cheering on my FAVORITE GYMNASTICS TEAM at the NCAA Gymnastics Championships!

I was a gymnast from the time I was six years old, until I was 18.

I loved it!

That’s me with my high school team (second from right) Yikes!

Anyway, my friend Arriann and I have been season ticket holders for the University of Utah Red Rocks for 30 years!

Back when we didn’t have kids, and when we did have kids, but they were young –

We used to travel to Nationals every year.

Utah Gymnastics has a HUGE following.

I think they are record holders for the most fans attending meets.

Anyway…….

Fast forward to Tyson’s freshman year of college

He comes home for Christmas break and gets together with his friends attending the University of Utah

And they are all friends with the gymnasts!

I love it!

So over the next four years (what? Tyson is graduating from college in a month?) we got to know most of the

Gymnasts (and their families) personally.

It’s been so much fun!

So, this year I decided to make the trip to Georgia to cheer my girls on!

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, I’m sure I will be posting updates!

In the meantime…..

GO RED ROCKS!

Let’s do this!
