The Master Bathroom Reveal!

Are you ready!

Here she is!

I'm noticing that my camera lens is pretty dirty!  Excuse the spots!  Yikes!

I'd love to hear what you think!  I have some curtains to hang, but I am still a bit undecided on them.  The paint color is Sherwin Williams Sea Salt.  I'm in love!

My original inspiration for the makeover came from Kate @ Centsational Girl!  Thanks so much Kate for the inspiration.  I even got into a mini argument with the gal at the Lowes paint counter.  She told me I didn't need tinted primer for the vanity.  I told her that ""Kate @ Centsational Girl used tinted primer and I'm following her instructions EXACTLY!"

We also used the board and batten tutorial I found HERE at Beneath My Heart ~ Thanks Traci!

So happy to have this mini remodel mostly done!  Thanks for humoring me along the way!

If you are new to my blog, I would love for you to "follow me"  :)  Thanks so much!

I love it and can’t believe I have the same color in *the apt* above our garage, it matched the tile in the bathroom shower that I loved so just did the whole apt that color and love it but can’t decide what other colors to put with it cause the whole place I want done in a beachy style…it was so good to see how great yours turned out, gives me some inspiration to continue on!

  10. Laura Ingalls Gunn - February 14, 2011 8:42 am

Your metamorphosis is absolutely fabulous. I so hope that you enjoy every bit of it.
Have a very Happy Valentine’s Day!

  11. Jane F - February 14, 2011 4:21 pm

Now THAT’S a bathroom redo! Doesn’t look like the same house. You’ve done an amazing job and the new colors work really well together. Vanity is an especially good color. Is that stain or paint (can’t see in the monitor). Now enjoy it! I could see a white roman shade there — one caught up on each side. Keep up the great work. Jane

  12. Nan - February 14, 2011 4:35 pm

Love it! I may have to steal the paint color! Found you on MM – BNOTP. I posted our master bath re-do as well – check it out, though I’m not 100% done yet! I’m going to follow you and invite you to visit!

Oh my word, your bathroom is gorgeous!!! You must be so proud!
That’s too funny about the primer. I was talking with the RustOleum folks about the fact that they need a tintable oil based primer readily available just for this kind of project! Yep, the dark primer sure helps especially on the door fronts. I actually didn’t use it on the back just to test my theory and they needed 3+ coats just to get the brown even and dark, so good for you girl sticking to your guns!
    xoxo

Your restroom is magnificent. I am in really like with large, too. I also like your WWII poster. I have always liked those! Excellent job on the remodelling. Publish photos of the drapes when they’re up!

  52. Dwane Zelinsky - April 26, 2012 11:28 am

The new bathroom is looking smooth! In a subtle way, there are a few similarities between the old version and the new look. It kind of makes it feel like the old bathroom matured into a more sharp and efficient style.

  53. Darryl Iorio - May 21, 2012 12:42 pm

That’s a gorgeous master bathroom! Great choice with the minty walls. Hmm… the Sea Salt shade would be great. It would definitely accentuate the walls. The framed quote is a good idea too! It accentuates that wall perfectly.
