DONE!

Phew!  Deep breath!  Tyson has finally graduated!  And I can FINALLY take a moment to relax and enjoy.  What a ride, the past 4 years have been.  So much fun, with many academic and athletic highlights.  We are so proud of Tyson, and we can’t wait to see what is in store for him next!  Thursday night was the Baccalaureate Mass at The Cathedral of the Madeleine .  So very cool!  The Cathedral is gorgeous and the religious side of Mass was awesome!  They “suggested” we didn’t bring our cameras inside the Cathedral, as pictures are frowned upon, and me being a “rule-follower” (HA!!!!!!!),  didn’t take mine in.  What was I thinking!  Bummer, no photos!  Friday night we had a graduation celebration at my brother’s house for Tyson.  Lot’s of good food (BBQ), good friends, good wine (LOL!) and good times!  A late night though!  The kids went to bed long before we did!  Lot’s of Tyson friends came, and a lot of family friends and JUDGE families were there to celebrate the night away.  Madi had a softball tournament the next morning (Yikes!).  I have NO IDEA how Carl and Madi woke up so early!  Tyson had a senior brunch and graduation practice at the crack of dawn.  Once again, I have no idea how they all got up so early!  I slept until about 9:30…and they were all gone and on their way!  I made it to Madi’s tournament (better late than never!), and watched her comp team (didn’t we just finish high school ball?) make it to the championship game.  They ended up taking 2nd place which was VERY COOL!  Madi had some “clutch” hits to get the team to the championship.  Go Madi!  Saturday night brought another graduation party for a good friend of Tyson’s, and another late night!  Sunday afternoon brought graduation for the 2008 class of Judge Memorial Catholic High School at Abravanel Hall.  It was very nice.  181 students graduated, and the ceremony lasted about 1.5 hours.  Not bad at all!  We had two speeches by the co-valedictorians, and they were great!  Short and sweet!  But, very meaningful!  After graduation, we had a family dinner at my brothers (eating leftovers!), and then Tyson was off to another quick grad party for a great friend.  At 9:00 that night, the Senior All-Night Graduation Party was held at The Sports Mall.  I was on the decorations committee, which required I be there by 7:30, and then Carl and I were both volunteers for the Casino section of the party.  The party is a non-drinking, safe party for the graduates.  They take over the Sports Mall, and have some amazing activities all night long, lasting until 5:00 am.  There is casino, swimming, tennis, racquet ball, walley ball, ultimate frisbee, basketball, sumo wresting, Halo, Rock Band, and Guitar Hero on big screens, karaoke, salsa lessons, a magician, massages, a hair stylist, and nail artist, henna tattoos, a DJ and dance, non-stop food, raffles, movie theaters, etc.  So many fun activities.  I dealt Texas-Hold-Em, while Carl was a “pit boss” until 2:00 am.  We then helped out until about 4:00 am.  What a LONG night.  We got home sometime after 4:00 am, and while I cuddled into my nice, warm, bed…..Carl had to change clothes and got to work for 12 hours!  Can you believe that!  Too crazy!  Anyway, we are done, and T has graduated!  Madi is still in school, and Tyson’s week is full of parties.  Crazy times, but the kids are being safe.  Staying at one location, and NOT DRIVING.  Tyson leaves for his senior trip to San Diego next week, and then it is the Senior All Star Game for Baseball, and the Senior All Star Game for Football…..then off to college in August.  WOW!  My baby has grown up!  Yikes!
