The Bane of My Existence….

Uncategorized

The Science Fair.  Why, oh why, is this a requirement EVERY SINGLE YEAR from 3rd grade through 8th at Madison’s school?  I don’t like science.  Madi doesn’t like science.  I dread it every year.  Madi dreads it every year.  BUT, every year we ‘git ‘er done’.  UGH!  Of course there are tears shed (by both of us!), and late nights, but when it is done, I guess we feel relief that "YES! We did it"! One more year down and only one more to go!  Here is Madi’s science fair project:

It was actually a pretty cool experiment (Thanks Carl!)….. When you add a pack of Mentos to a 2 Liter of Coke….. It explodes 8 feet in the air!  Cool beans!

Good Luck today Madi!  Bring home a blue ribbon! Ü

Oh my goodness. That is sure cool. Tiffani has to get started on hers. Could you believe, she’s only in second grade!! This might be something fun and easy. Hmmmmm. Thanks for the inspiration.

Cool project. I hate it also and it has always been a requirement. I never did one growing up. I do have to say that Brooke did win in 6th grade when she did a comparison on swim caps. This year we are doing how flouride and acids affect teeth. Good job Madi. Hope you win and the board catches attention. I need to know this because I am volunteering to be a judge for 8th grade.

i don’t mind the science fair thing. i kinda get a kick out of it actually. so next year, give me a call.
someone with a daughter named tiffani commented on this post already, too weird, cause my name is tiffani, same spelling, and no one spells it like that, ok a couple of people apparently 🙂

Did you see some girl in Florida compared the micro organisms in toilet water and ice from ice dispensers? Just nasty to think about it!

Too cool! My boys just got their packets. The projects are due 3/27 though. Michael is doing which cereal gets soggy the fastest. (easy, thank goodness!) and Matt is doing which brand melts fastest of sherbert and frozen yogurt. My boys are not self motivated so we had to pick easy ones to do!!!
    I love Madi’s idea!!!!!
