Some of my 70’s favorites….

Uncategorized

3-4 mornings a week, Tyson has an early morning weightlifting class.  This means waking up at 5:15 to get him up and in the shower.  While he is in the shower and then eating breakfast, I am usually laying in bed in that half asleep/half awake state.  That time when you are thinking of scrapbook layouts that never get completed.  Interior decorating things that never get done.  Chores and organization around the house, that you have every intention of doing when you wake up, but forget about because you aren’t completely awake…..  Been there?

Well this morning I was thinking about some of my favorite toys from the 70’s.  Where did that thought come from?  Haven’t a clue.  BUT, it has stayed with  me all day.  (I must have been more awake than I thought).  Anyway, here are a few of my faves from "back in the day"…

So we have… KIDDLES!  Remember these!  I used to love them!  Especially the locket and cologne ones!  Cute!  And the Sunshine Family! The pic is kind a blurry, but they were a totally 70’s family.  I had their house too… which was sooo cool!  Open rooms and a removable roof!  And do you remember Avon fragrance pins?  The frangrance was pretty nasty, but the pins were so cute!  And my ALL TIME FAVORITE…. MRS. BEASLEY! Loved her!  I used to try and make her plastic glasses fit my face.  They used to pinch!  Anyway… a little trip down memory lane!  Put a smile on my face which was much needed!  Anyone else remember these?  Or have them?

Gotta love the “good ol days”, huh?! I still have my Mrs. Beasley- although I’m missing her apron and glasses. She went everywhere with me for years! I also have the baby from Sunshine Family somewhere…and my mom has an old coloring book. Fond memories you evoked today. Glad I clicked a link from your comment at Elsie’s blog. This made me smile. Groovy!

I loved the Sunshine family. The baby even became my Barbie’s baby. All these things were great. It made me smile thinking about them, too.
